I am sorry it has taken me so long to get this letter out to you. We have had some family illness to deal with since the wedding and I also made the decision to retire from 32 years of teaching/administration, so I have been a little crazy. I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful wedding flowers. I loved the bouquets, the cake decorations, and the centerpieces were the “talk” of the weekend. Dan and I received literally hundreds of compliments on the flowers and I have told everyone who has asked that I would recommend you to do flowers for any occasion. I’m not exaggerating when I say there were literally people who drew in their breath when the doors to the dining room at the MAG were opened. Best of all, Dan, Sarah, Rich and I enjoyed working with you and appreciated your willingness to put together a “prototype” so we were sure we were all thinking the same colors and design. Dear Don,
Although late in coming, I wanted to be sure and write you to thank you for all that you did to make our wedding so special. The bouquets, floral arrangements, centerpieces, boutonnieres, etc were just gorgeous. When I first saw Don bring the box of bouquets up the stairs of the Glen Iris I really could not believe my eyes at first. They were so very lovely and so much more than I ever envisioned. I received many, many compliments during the course of the wedding and reception about the flowers (the cake too was just breath taking!) I even boxed up my bridal bouquet as well as the attendant’s, hauled them back to Chicago with me on the plane, and am having a woman here dry them and make them into wreaths! I just couldn’t bear to have them wasted or worse yet. Thrown out!! The flowers surely added a very special and important touch to the whole affair and you all ought to give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done! I really can’t thank you enough……
